Two ways in. Students and faculty take 15% off CamPlot Max with a school email — code STUDENT15. Departments put a class, a crew or a whole program on CamPlot with a Campus License: $35 a seat a year, 25 seats and up, one invoice, every seat on your institution’s domain.
CamPlot Max is what a student or a Campus seat gets — the plot tool, and the apps that ride with it. A Windows or Chromebook lab runs CamPlot Creator in the browser.
Plan the shoot from above: cameras with real lens fields of view, jibs, dollies, lights, mics, cables and set pieces on a to-scale ground plan. Camera, lighting, audio and cable reports. Share a plot live with the class.
Explore Creator →Frame with the real camera body and lens on an iPhone, record test video with the look baked in, meter exposure, scan a room with LiDAR, export a LUT for the camera’s log.
Explore the Viewfinder →Depth of field, recording time, ND, sensor size and golden hour. Free with any account, and free on the web.
Open the Calculators →Every channel of a DJI Mic 3 receiver as its own track on an iPhone or iPad — four lavs, four files, broadcast WAV with timecode.
On the App Store →free downloadBoth are the full CamPlot Max. One is a discount on a personal subscription; the other is a license the school holds and hands out.
| A class of | Students on STUDENT15 | Campus License | CamPlot Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|
| 25 people | $1,062.25 a year, 25 cards | $875 a year, one invoice | $1,999.75 |
| 40 people | $1,699.60 | $1,400 | $3,199.60 |
| 100 people | $4,249 | $3,500 | $7,999 |
Students place the cameras on a to-scale plan of the studio or the location — from a PDF, a photo, the satellite map or a LiDAR scan — with real lenses, lights, mics and cables. The instructor opens the shared plot and sees every change live.
On set, the Director’s Viewfinder shows the frame of the actual camera body and lens; test video records with the look baked in. Frames land on the matching camera in the plot.
The plot prints the camera, lighting, audio and cable reports and the gear inventory — the documents a real multicam crew works from, generated rather than typed.
Anyone signed in to camplot.studio with a school email address — students, faculty and staff alike. The code STUDENT15 checks the address on your account: it has to end in .edu, or in edu or ac under a country code (mtsu.edu, mtmail.mtsu.edu, ox.ac.uk, unimelb.edu.au). Any other address, and the code does nothing.
15% off, every year you stay subscribed: $42.49 a year instead of $49.99, or $4.24 a month instead of $4.99. The usual 7-day free trial comes first if you have never had one. Prices are in US dollars, before any tax.
No — the App Store charges Apple’s price. Create your account and subscribe on camplot.studio with the code, then sign in to the CamPlot apps on iPhone, iPad and Mac with that same account: the subscription is the account’s, so it works everywhere.
Yes. Write to help@camplot.studio from your school address and tell us the school; we set the discount up by hand. Or ask your department about a Campus License — that works with any domain.
A CamPlot Enterprise built for a school: $35 a seat a year with a 25-seat minimum ($875 a year), paid by invoice or card, one order form. Every seat is the full CamPlot Max. The department’s administrators add and remove people from a portal, appoint managers with chosen permissions, download or share any member’s projects, and see an activity log.
Any account on the institution’s email domain — and its subdomains, so a license on mtsu.edu covers @mtsu.edu faculty and @mtmail.mtsu.edu students alike. CamPlot enforces it twice: when a seat is offered and when it is accepted. Which students, faculty and staff hold seats, and reassigning a seat when a term ends, is the department’s call.
The instructor applies at camplot.studio/enterprise-apply with their school account, signs the order form online and chooses invoice or card. We check and approve it by hand, usually within one business day; the moment the invoice is paid, the instructor gets the activation link and the portal. Students are invited by email and accept with their school account — any existing CamPlot account on that domain keeps all of its work.
Yes to both. Seats can be added during the term at the per-seat price, prorated; the seat count comes down at renewal. Invoices are due in 30 days and can carry your PO number; bank transfer, wire, ACH and card are all fine.
It stays theirs. When a seat is reassigned, that person keeps CamPlot Max for seven more days and then continues on CamPlot Crew, which is free, or on a subscription of their own — nothing is deleted. While they hold a seat, the department’s administrators can download and share the projects on their account; students are told that before they accept.
Yes. A free CamPlot Crew account opens every plot shared with it and includes all five Calculators; the Calculators are also open on the web with no account at camplot.studio/calculators. The Director’s Viewfinder has a free Photo mode. Making plots takes CamPlot Max — the student code or a Campus seat.
